ELIZABETHVILLE • Charles W. Zerby, age 91, of Moore Street, passed away Jan. 24, 2019, at his home. He was born Nov. 7, 1927, in Lykens, son of the late Charles and Mabel (Daniel) Zerby.
He was retired from Bethlehem Steel, Steelton.
He had lifetime memberships with the Lykens Fire Co. and Dauphin County Fireman’s Association. He enjoyed hunting especially during deer season.
He is survived by his wife of more than 70 years, Helen F. (Stephens) Zerby; son, David C. (Debra) Zerby, Halifax; and daughter, B. Jane (James) Trawitz, Loyalton; sister, Betty Bellis, Lykens; grandchildren, Lori Hahner, Todd Trawitz and Michael Zerby; and great-grandchildren, Jay, Rylee and Ava Zerby and Gavin and Lainey Trawitz.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald Zerby, and granddaughter, Jeanette Trawitz.
There will be a memorial service at Salem Lutheran Church, Elizabethville, Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2019, at 11 a.m.
Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
