WILLIAMSTOWN • Charles S. “Charlie” Promensky, 73, of Williamstown, passed away very suddenly Monday, March 8, 2021, in Myrtle Beach, S.C. Born Dec. 1, 1947, in Harrisburg, he was a son of the late Sylvester and Zora Kriner Promensky. Charlie was a graduate of the former Williamstown High School. He retired as an ED technician from TYCO, Lickdale. Charlie was also the caretaker of the Fairview Cemetery, Williamstown, for many years. He belonged to many organizations in the Williamstown area. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending the winter months in South Carolina, where he would walk the beach daily. He was an avid fan of Penn State Football. Surviving are his son, whom he was very proud of, Charles “Chuck” Promensky of Tower City; and his companion for more than 25 years, Bonnie Wiest Laudenslanger of Myrtle Beach, S.C. He also is survived by Bonnie’s children, Tracey, Scott, Chrissy, Jon and Heather and their children, whom Charlie considered his grandchildren. Charlie will be laid to rest privately in the Fairview Cemetery, Williamstown. Donations in his memory should be made to the Williams-town EMS, P.O. Box 74, Williamstown PA 17098.
