KLINGERSTOWN • Charles H. Masser, 82, died Dec. 16 at his residence. He was born June 5, 1936, in the Ashland Hospital, a son of the late Clarence and Maude Blyler Masser. He was a 1953 graduate of the Mahanoy Joint High School. He was a lifelong farmer and also served as a bank director for the Gratz Bank since 1984. He was a member of Salem Church of Rough and Ready; a member of the Klingerstown Fire Co. and the Free Wheelers Motorcycle Club. He was preceded in death by a brother, Sterman Masser. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Nancy Knorr Masser; four children: Rick Masser and Michael Masser, both of Klingerstown, Lisa King of Felton and Lori Kuczala of Mohnton; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; five siblings: Velma Kieffer of Dornsife, Betty Martz and Barbara Baumert, both of Herndon and William Masser of Leck Kill, Clarence Masser of Dalmatia; and several nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, Dec. 29 from 1-4 p.m. at Benigna’s Creek Winery, 1585 Ridge Rd., Klingerstown. Private burial will be in Salem Cemetery, Klingerstown.
