KLINGERSTOWN • Charles H. Masser, 82, died Dec. 16 at his residence. He was born June 5, 1936, in the Ashland Hospital, a son of the late Clarence and Maude Blyler Masser. He was a 1953 graduate of the Mahanoy Joint High School. He was a lifelong farmer and also served as a bank director for the Gratz Bank since 1984. He was a member of Salem Church of Rough and Ready; a member of the Klingerstown Fire Co. and the Free Wheelers Motorcycle Club. He was preceded in death by a brother, Sterman Masser. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Nancy Knorr Masser; four children: Rick Masser and Michael Masser, both of Klingerstown, Lisa King of Felton and Lori Kuczala of Mohnton; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; five siblings: Velma Kieffer of Dornsife, Betty Martz and Barbara Baumert, both of Herndon and William Masser of Leck Kill, Clarence Masser of Dalmatia; and several nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, Dec. 29 from 1-4 p.m. at Benigna’s Creek Winery, 1585 Ridge Rd., Klingerstown. Private burial will be in Salem Cemetery, Klingerstown. Contributions may be made to Salem Church of Rough and Ready, 1128 Ridge Rd., Klingerstown, PA 17941.
