LYKENS • Charles C. Antes of Lykens passed away Sunday Jan. 5, 2020, at UPMC Harrisburg Hospital. Charles was born Aug. 18, 1934, in Williamstown, Pa., to the late Ira Jacob and Alberta E. Myers Antes. He was a graduate of the former Williamstown High School Class of 1952. He was a veteran of the Pennsylvania Army National Guard; a member of the Lykens United Methodist Church; Liberty Hose Co. No. 2; Liberty Hose Co. No. 2 Band; 30th of May Gang; Silver Stragglers; and CanCo Retirees. He enjoyed golf, horseshoes, hunting and gardening, was a good outdoorsman, and especially enjoyed spending time with his family. Charlie is survived by his wife, Elaine Hoffman Antes; sons: Douglas C. and wife Billie Jean, David B. and Patty, Bradley A. and wife Jackie; a daughter, Karen A. Gunderman and husband Rick; grandchildren: Kevyn, Justin, Jamie, Janelle, Drew, Kara, Carlie, Elizabeth, Nicholas and Gwendolyn; great-grandchildren: Brady, Evan, Jenna, Riley and Ava; and a brother, Ira Ray Antes. A Celebration of Life was held Jan. 11, 2020, at 11 a.m. at his church at 527 North Second St., Lykens, Pa. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Charlie’s honor to his church at the above address or to Liberty Hose Co. No. 2, 553 S. Second St., Lykens, PA 17048. John R.
