Catherine M. Kobel
MILLERSBURG • Catherine M. Kobel, age 85, passed away Friday, May 22 at Country Meadows Retirement Community of Hershey.
She was born in Trevorton, the daughter of the late William O’Rourke and Catherine Braubitz O’Rourke.
Catherine M. was a graduate of Trevorton High School.
She was a member of Queen of Peace Church in Millersburg.
Catherine was deeply devoted to her family. From her husband and two sons to her two grandchildren and daughters-in-law, Catherine dedicated her life to loving each of them in all that she did. Catherine’s interests focused on family, as well. She maintained her home meticulously and attended to every detail in providing for all of her family’s daily needs.
Catherine was married for 59 years to Truman L. Kobel, now deceased.
Surviving are two sons, William L. Kobel and his wife Georgianne of Millersburg and Rahn E. Kobel and his wife Diana of Middletown; grandchildren, Anthony W. Kobel and his wife Emily of Cockeysville, Md., and Lauren A. Kobel of Baltimore, Md. Catherine is also survived by siblings, Marie Lucas of Marysville, Ellen Stockert of Florida and John O’Rourke of Norristown. Catherine was preceded in death by brothers William O’Rourke, Gerald O’Rourke and James O’Rourke.
Services will be private and at the family’s convenience. Burial will be in Riverview Memorial Gardens in Halifax.
