LYKENS • Carolyn E. Sims, 67, of Lykens, passed away suddenly Thursday, March 4, 2021, at her home. Carol was born July 24, 1953, in Lykens, a daughter of the late Donald and Shirley Teter Lontz. She was a 1971 graduate of Williams Valley High School. Carol retired as a seamstress from the former Lebro Shirt Factory, Lykens. She was a very active member of the former Wesley United Methodist Church, Wiconisco, where she served as the secretary, organist, historian and a Sunday school teacher. She was currently a member of the Immanuel – Wesley United Methodist Church, Loyalton. Carol will be remembered for her love for her family. She loved being a grandma. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Sims, 1999. Surviving are her two children, Ryan Sims and Michele Sims, both of Lykens; two sisters, Linda Lontz of Tower City and Lori Rodichok of Mifflinburg; three granddaughters, Sydney and Erica Sims; Adrianna Etzweiler; and a baby boy grandson due in July. Services were held March 9, 2021, at Dimon Funeral Home Inc., Tower City. Private burial was in the Calvary United Methodist Cemetery, Wiconisco.
