DALMATIA • Carol N. Ronngren, 77, of Dalmatia, passed away July 9, 2021, at the Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg. She was born May 12, 1944, in Charlotte, N.C., a daughter of the late Thelma and Vernon Crytser. She attended David’s Community Bible Church, Millersburg, and was a former member of Grace Community Church, Herndon. Carol was the Judge of Elections for Lower Mahanoy Twp., a member of the Red Hats, Elizabethville YMCA and a life member of Hickory Corners Fire Co. She was an avid Longaberger Basket collector and enjoyed yard sales. Carol is survived by her husband, Robert Ronngren; two sons, Gordon Fredrick (Shannon) Kertzel and Gregory (Sara Eckard) Kertzel; two daughters, Amy (Robert) Coppersmith and Katrina (Wesley) Smeltzer; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two brothers, Wayne Crytser and Vernon Crytser; and a sister, Betty Geist. She was preceded in death by brothers, Patrick, Ronald, and sister, Patricia. Visitation with family and friends will be held Friday, July 16, 2021, 10-11 a.m. at James A. Reed Funeral Home, Pillow. Celebration of Life will follow at 11 a.m. at the James A. Reed Funeral Home, Pillow. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Northern Dauphin County Branch YMCA, Elizabethville.
