Carl W. Senior
MILLERSBURG • Carl W. Senior, 85, of Millersburg, passed away peacefully June 2, 2020, at his residence and went to be with his Lord, He was born May 29, 1935, in Barnsboro, Pa., a son of the late Oliver Senior and Vera Johnson Senior. Carl was married to Dorothy Brubaker Senior of Millersburg for 62 years. Carl was a veteran of the U.S. Navy Reserves. He was a member of David’s Community Bible Church in Millersburg and Men In Harmony. Carl was retired from the Dauphin County Tax Assessment Office. He was also a former salesman for Witmer Motors and a former owner of R-Own Dairy. Carl was an avid hunter and fisherman. He especially loved spending time with his family and traveling across the country. He loved singing, working in his garden, and driving his Studebaker. Carl was known by many as a fun-loving personable guy who was able to talk and joke with everyone. In addition to his wife Dorothy, Carl is survived by his daughter, Robin Holtzman and husband Robert of Halifax; a son, Douglas Senior and his wife Tonja of Halifax; granddaughter, Chelsea Webster (William); stepgrandchildren, Amber Shepley and Morgan Lenker; three step-great-grandchildren, Nick, Olivia and Kade; and a sister Judith Bower (Leonard). Services were held June 9, 2020, at David’s Community Bible Church. Burial with military honors was held in the church cemetery following the service.
