BARRY TWP. • Bruce I. Neumeister, 84, died March 8, 2019, at Geisinger Home Health and Hospice at Maria Hall, Danville. He was born Sept. 24, 1934, in Barry Twp., a son of the late Irvin and Martha Schucker Neumeister. He was a coal miner in several area mines prior to his retirement. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Kenneth Neumeister and Frank Neumeister; and two sisters, Arlene Klinger and Barbara Buhl. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Janice Bloch Neumeister; three daughters: Bonnie Keim and Donna Ferraiolo, both of Ashland and Kathy Freeman of Hegins; four grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; two brothers, Marlin Neumeister of Ashland and Walter Neumeister of Lavelle; two sisters, Gloria Ludwig of Niceville, Fla., and Carol Gahres of Ashland; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held Wednesday, March 13 at 11 a.m. at Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View. Visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. at the funeral home.
