Bessie E. Gontz

MILLERSBURG • Bessie E. Gontz, age 99, of Millersburg, died Oct. 22, 2020, at Kinkora Pythian Home. She was born Feb. 17, 1921, in Huntingdon, Pa., the daughter of the late Giuseppe and Myrtle (Kepler) Mondo. Bessie was married to the late James C. Kurtz and the late Richard L. Gontz. She is survived by her three sons Ronald W. Kurtz and his wife Merry of New Cumberland, James M. Kurtz and his wife Deborah of Millersburg, and Blaine P. Kurtz and his wife Deb of Winchester, Va.; grandchildren Rosalind Turney, John Kurtz and his wife Melanie, Brian Kurtz, Elizabeth Schaffner, Nick Kurtz, Allison Post and her husband Timothy; and two great-grandsons Alexander Schaffner and Cooper Post. She was also preceded in death by 12 siblings. Graveside services will be private at Resurrection Cemetery, Harrisburg.
