HARRISBURG • Barry L. Browne, 61, died April, 26, at Hershey Medical Center. He was born Aug. 1, 1957, in Salisbury, Md., a son of the late David and Helen Phlegar Browne. He was a U.S. Army veteran with 20 years of service, which included working as an army recruiter. He was a case manager with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s Department of Human Services. He was of the Protestant faith. He was preceded in death by a sister, Karen Desautel; and a brother, David Browne. He is survived by his wife, Lynne McCready Browne; a son, Lou Browne of New Jersey; a stepdaughter, Brandy Ney of Harrisburg; a brother, Steven Browne of Carlisle; two granddaughters; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial with military honors will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
