Barbara J. Carr
MILLERSBURG • Barbara J. Carr, 71, of Millersburg, passed away May 10, 2020, at Premier at Susquehanna Village.
She was a strong woman of faith and has joined her Lord and Savior.
She was born July 18, 1948, in Harrisburg, Pa., the daughter of the late Russell and Zada (Shifflet) Carr.
She dedicated her life to being the caregiver for several local disabled individuals.
She was a member of Calvary Wesleyan Church, Millersburg.
Barb was a kind-hearted and beautiful person inside and out. She enjoyed spending time with family, whom she loved dearly. She will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her, but as she always said, “God loves you, and I do, too.”
She is survived by her brother Allen Carr of Middletown, and several generations of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Leonard H. Carr Sr.; a sister, Patricia Miller; and a nephew, Leonard H. Carr Jr.
A memorial service will be planned at her church when current restrictions are lifted.
The family requests that memorial donations may be made to Calvary Wesleyan Church, 200 Miller Rd., Millersburg PA 17061, or to Minnich Funeral, PO Box 386 Elizabethville PA 17023 to help with funeral expenses.
Hoover-Boyer Funeral Home, Ltd., Millersburg, is handling the arrangements.
