WICONISCO • Barbara J. Adams, age 89, passed away April 16, 2019, at Tremont Health and Rehabilitation. She was born Nov. 10, 1929, in Elizabethville, daughter of Barney and Olive (Koppenhaver) Shealer. She was the widow of Gene I. Adams. She was a 1948 graduate of Elizabethville High School. Barb and Gene enjoyed spending time with their family at the beach in Fort Charlotte, Fla. She also enjoyed music, dancing, reading, going to auctions and flea markets and spending time outdoors enjoying nature. She is survived by a son, Tim (Sandra) Adams, Wiconisco; daughter, Beth Ann Stuppy, Lykens; son, Tracey (Connie) Adams, Elizabethville; and daughter, Kathy (Norman) Garner-Pinson, Johnstown; half-brother, Jay Shealer, Calif.; six grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren. There will be a memorial service held at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery shelter Tuesday, April 30, 2019, at 11:30 a.m. The Rev. Dr. Nathan Corl Minnich will officiate. Those planning on attending the services are asked to arrive no sooner than 11 a.m. and park and wait in the funeral parking zone at the rear of the Administration building at the Gap Cemetery. A procession will be taken to the shelter at that time. Hoover-Boyer Funeral Home, Ltd., Elizabethville, is handling the arrangements.
