DORNSIFE • Arlene K. Kieffer, 91, died Oct. 5 at Buffalo Valley Lutheran Village, Lewisburg. She was born Oct. 21, 1927, in Dornsife, a daughter of the late Norman and Gertie Kehres Peifer. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Kieffer; nine sisters: Hilda Beissel, Carrie Peifer, Sarah Straub, Hannah Peifer, Helen Ferster, Annabelle Long, Lena Hoover, Elda Snyder and Catherine DeLong; and five brothers: Raymond, Melvin, Clayton, John and William Peifer. She is survived by a daughter, Judy Updegrove and two sons, Steven Kieffer and Glen Kieffer, all of Dornsife; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Services were held Oct. 11 at Himmel’s Church. Burial followed in Himmel’s Cemetery. Contributions may be made to Himmel’s Church, c/o the Organ Fund, 107 Covered Bridge Rd., Dornsife, PA 17823.
