NEWS UPDATE: Additional business reopenings permitted
After press time for the Sentinel’s April 28 issue, Gov. Tom Wolf announced that restrictions were being lifted statewide on certain outdoor-related businesses, effective this Friday (May 1).
The change effects public golf courses, marinas, guided fishing trips and privately-owned campgrounds.
It does not effect campgrounds in state parks, which at this time remain closed through Thursday, May 14.
Businesses now permitted to operate must follow the social distancing, employee health and safety and other mandates from the Wolf Administration.
Visitors to these establishments are encouraged to:
• Stay within a short distance of home.
• Practice social distancing among fellow patrons.
• Stay home if not feeling healthy.
• Keep hands clean with soap and warm water, or hand sanitizer if not available. Avoid frequently-touched surfaces (i.e. doorknobs, handrails, etc.)
