Ada Jane Poffenberger

HALIFAX • Ada Jane Poffenberger, age 93, passed away Nov. 7, 2020, at Stonebridge Health & Rehabilitation Center, Duncannon. Ada was born Nov. 28, 1926, in New Buffalo, Watts Twp., Pa., the daughter of the late William W. and Sarah E. (Lowe) Still. Ada was married to the late Robert Poffenberger. She graduated from Duncannon High School in the class of 1944. She was a member of Halifax United Metho-dist Church and was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Halifax VFW Post No. 5750. She is survived by her sons Keith Poffenberger and his wife Sue, Douglas Poffenberger and his wife Cathy; daughter-in-law, Beverly Poffenberger; nine grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son Kent, and a brother Warren Still and his wife Erma. A funeral service was held Nov. 13, 2020, at Halifax U.M. Church with burial in the church cemetery. Memorial donations may be made in her memory to Halifax U.M.
