SPORTS BULLETIN Vikes recapture state gold
The Williams Valley softball team has returned to the PIAA winners’ circle.
At about 12:30 p.m. today (Friday), the Lady Vikes emerged victorious, 5-0, in the Class 1A softball championship at Pennsylvania State University. Their opponent was DuBois Central Catholic.
It is the program’s first state championship since 2016 and third since 2013.
