Mary (Ditty) Brown
MILLERSBURG • Mary (Ditty) Brown, 71, of Millersburg, died Sept. 2, 2020, at home.
She was born Jan. 23, 1949, in Sunbury, Pa., the daughter of the late Frank and Jean (Zimmerman) Krakowski.
Mary was married to Robert D. Brown, and prior to that the late Gerald Ditty Sr.
She retired from PHEAA in the early 2000s, prior to that she worked at the former First National Bank of Mifflin.
She attended Brethren in Christ Church, Elliottsburg, Pa.
She loved her family, had a passion for helping injured and disadvantaged animals, and also enjoyed flowers and traveling.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Brown; son, Jerry Ditty of Chicago; daughter, Lisa and her husband Dominic Cianci of Keller, Texas; grandchildren, Dominic Jr. “Nicky” and Colton; she is also survived by sisters, Frances Reinoehl (Henry), Bernadette Shadle (Dennis), Joan Kolish, Rose Scheib, Terri Wertz (Newt) and Rebecca Kelley (John); brothers, Frank Krakowski and Anthony Krakowski (Kelly), and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her sisters, Deborah Browell and Anna Mae Krakowski.
A funeral service was held Sept. 9 morning at Hoover-Boyer Funeral Home Ltd., Millersburg, with burial to follow at Riverview Memorial Gardens, Halifax.
The family requests that memorial donations may be made to Perry County Animal Rescue, 379 Sugar Run Rd., Millerstown PA 17062.
Hoover-Boyer Funeral Home, Ltd., Millersburg, handled arrangements.
