TOWER CITY • Linda M. Slingwine, 73, died Nov. 22 at Tremont Health and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born Sept. 29, 1945, in Bath, N.Y., a daughter of the late Lawrence and Doris Daley.
She was a graduate of Haverly High School, Bath, and Harrisburg Area Community College where she received her LPN.
She was a retired anesthesiology technician in the surgical department at Harrisburg Hospital.
She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Tower City; and a member and past president of the ladies auxiliary of the Gratz VFW.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John “Jack” Slingwine.
She is survived by two children, Andi Richard of Oldsmar, Fla., and James Kolva of Millersburg; six stepchildren including Jean Zimmerman of Tower City; a granddaughter; several stepgrandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings, Cathy Matter, Tom Daley, Steven Abel, all of North Carolina; William Daley, Theresa Bishop and Richard Daley, all of New York; and several nieces and nephews.
Following her wishes, there will be no services.
Contributions may be made to Parkinson’s, Diabetes or Dementia associations.
