MILLERSBURG • Barry Evans Taylor, 81, of Millersburg, died Dec. 7, 2020, at home. He was born May 19, 1939, in Harrisburg, Pa., the son of the late Farley and Margaret (Evans) Taylor, formerly of Dauphin. He married the love of his life, the late Kathy I. Taylor, and they were married for 47 years. Together they enjoyed traveling to the beachside, especially to Virginia Beach. He loved spending time with his friends and family. He retired from the Dauphin County Board of Assessment after a long career with the county. After graduating from Central Dauphin High School, he attended Penn State University prior to working for the county. He was a member of Halifax United Methodist Church. Barry is survived by his sister, Linda Taylor Grudi and her husband Walter of Fishing Creek; a daughter, Marcy Ann Domen; a son, David Wayne Taylor Shoop; sisters-in-law, Judy Bonawitz and Brenda Laudenslager, and numerous nieces and nephews. Due to the indoor gathering restrictions, an outdoor graveside service for family and friends was held Dec. 11, 2020, at Dauphin Memorial Park, 100 Floral Lane, Dauphin, with Rev. Brendan Hock officiating. The family requests that memorial donations may be made to Halifax U.M. Church, 150 Wind Hill Dr., Halifax PA 17032. Hoover-Boyer Funeral Home, Ltd., Millersburg, handled arrangements. To sign the online guestbook, go to min nichfuneral.com Paid by funeral home
