NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the following accounts have been filed by the respective accountants in the Office of the Register of Wills or with the Clerk of the Orphans’ Court Division of the Common Pleas of Dauphin County, as the case may be, and that the same shall be duly presented to the said Orphans’ Court Division at the Office of the Court Administrator for Audit, Confirmation and Distribution of the said ascertained balances to and among those legally entitled there to September 3, 2014.  Pursuant to Dauphin County Orphans’ Court Rule 6.10.1, objections to an account must be filed in writing with the Register or Clerk no later than the close of business on September 2, 2014.

BID NOTICE

The Williamstown Borough Authority is accepting sealed bids for Contract No. 14-01 for the construction of Ray Street Water Main Replacement. 

Bids will be received at the Williamstown Borough  Authority Office, at 200 South West Street, in Williamstown, PA 17098 until 7:15 pm, on September 3, 2014. 

All bids must be in a sealed envelope clearly marked "Bid for Williamstown Borough Authority, bearing the

name of the bidder and Contract No. 14-01.  If the Bid is sent through the mail or other delivery system, the sealed envelope shall be enclosed in a separate envelope with the notation "BID ENCLOSED" on the face of it.  Please mail Bids to the Williamstown Borough Authority Office 200 South West Street, Williamstown, PA 17098.  Bids will be opened and read aloud at Williamstown Borough Authority Office.

The Contract involves the Replacement of 460 lineal feet of 6-inch ductile iron water main, services, and appurtenances.  For Contract No. 14-01, Bids will be based on a unit prices.    

Bidding and Contract documents, and the Project Manual were prepared by Uni-Tec Consulting Engineers, Inc., 2007 Cato Avenue, State College, PA 16801; (814) 238-8223.  Bidding documents may be examined at the offices of Uni-Tec during the hours of 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM Monday through Friday.  Copies of the relevant documents may be obtained from Uni-Tec.  A prepaid non-refundable fee made payable to Uni-Tec Consulting Engineers, Inc. for the sum of $95.00, plus 6% sales tax, for a total of $100.70, will be required for each set of documents which will include both a paper and an electronic copy of the documents. An electronic copy only of the document in .pdf format on a CD may be obtained by payment of a prepaid non-refundable fee made payable to Uni-Tec Consulting Engineers, Inc. for the sum of $25.00, plus 6% sales tax for a total of $26.50 for each CD requested.  Express delivery charges will be paid by the recipient.

Bid security must be provided at the time of bid submission in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid price made payable to Williamstown Borough Authority in the form of a certified or bank check or a bid bond issued by an accepted surety and executed by the bidder.  Surety companies executing bonds must be listed in the U.S. Treasury Department Circular 570, as currently amended, and be authorized to be in business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

When the Successful Bidder delivers the executed Agreement to Owner, it must be accompanied by the required Performance and Payment Bonds. The Performance and Payment Bonds shall be in the amount of 100% of the liability of the Contract.

Williamstown Borough Authority reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any bidding informalities.

SPECIAL MEETING NOTICE

A Special Meeting of the Jefferson Township Board of Supervisors will be held on Thursday, September 11, 2014 starting at 7:00 pm.

This will be a joint meeting with the Rush Township Board of Supervisors and will be held at the Rush Township building at 338 Reiners School Road, Tower City, PA. The purpose of this meeting will be to open bids for the joint Rush/Jefferson Township guiderail project on Carsonville Road, and to address any other business as becomes necessary.

The Halifax Township Board of Supervisors is accepting bids for paving .21 miles/25,800 Sq. Ft. of Lehman Road with Super Pave Asphalt Mix Design 9.5mm wearing course PG64-22, 0.0 to 0.3 million ESAL’S 5RL, L or Better, 1.5” depth. 

Also accepting bids for Tar and Chip on various roads, 434,778 square feet per PA DOT specifications.  

Bidders must be pre-qualified by PA DOT. Proposals must be on forms furnished by the municipality.  The bid must be accompanied by certified check or bid bond in the amount of 10% of the bid, payable to Halifax Township.
