The Williamstown Borough Authority Board has one opening for 2015. It is for a five-year term.

Letters of interest need to be sent to the Williamstown Borough no later than Monday, February 2nd at 3:00 p.m. Candidates must live in Williamstown and have at least one service provided by the Authority. NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

Notice is hereby given that on February 10, 2015 at 7:00 pm the Upper Paxton Township Zoning Hearing Board will hold a public hearing at the Grace United Methodist Church, 982 Medical Road, Millersburg, PA 17061, regarding the special exception application of John E. Riehl for a special exception of the Zoning Ordinance to allow him to construct and operate a dog kennel on the property located at 1013 State Rte. 25, Millersburg, Pa (Tax Map #65-017-052). The property is zoned Agricultural.

MEETING NOTICES

Middle Paxton Township

Middle Paxton Township Board of Supervisors will hold public meetings on the following dates during 2015: February 2, March 2, April 6, May 4, June 2, July 6, August 3, September 8, October 5, November 2, and December 7. All meetings will commence at 7:00 p.m. in the Township meeting room, 10 Elizabeth Avenue, Dauphin, PA.  17018.  All meetings will be for the purpose of conducting and acting upon general Township business. If necessary a second meeting may be held each month on the third Tuesday at the same time and location.           

The Middle Paxton Township Planning Commission will hold public meetings on the following dates during 2015: February 9, March 9, April 13, May 11, June 8, July 13, August 10, September 14, October 12, November 9, and December 14.  All meetings will be for the purpose of reviewing and acting upon subdivision plans and land development plans and any other matters required by law. All meetings commence at 7:00 p.m. in the Township meeting room.

Notice of Intent to Adopt Ordinance

Notice is hereby given that the Halifax Township Board of Supervisors intend to adopt the UC Trust Ordinance at its Monthly Business Meeting of February 9th, 2015 at 7:00 p.m., being held at the Halifax Township Municipal Building.

THIS ORDINANCE AUTHORIZES THE PARTICIPATION OF HALIFAX TOWNSHIP IN THE PSATS UNEMPLOYMENT COMPENSATION GROUP TRUST ("TRUST") PURSUANT TO THE PENNSYLVANIA INTERGOVERNMENTAL COOPERATION LAW. This Ordinance would confirm Halifax Township’s membership in the Trust, which consists of governmental units from throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania that have created an intergovernmental cooperative arrangement to permit participating employers to pool resources to satisfy unemployment compensation obligations in a cost effective manner. Further, this Ordinance includes provisions addressing the conditions that must be met to participate in and withdraw from the Trust, the organizational structure of the Trust, the appropriation of funds required for the operation of the Trust, the authority of the Trust to enter into contracts and take other actions appropriate to carry out the purposes of the Trust. 

A full copy of the ordinance is available for public inspection at the Halifax Township Municipal Building during normal business hours of 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday thru Friday.
