Notice to Contractors

Sealed proposals will be received by Wayne Township Board of Supervisors in their office at 1652 Powells Valley Road, Halifax, PA, 17032 until 6:45pm, Thursday, April 13, 2017, for roadway widening and paving, and a section of overlay paving, of  Sheetz Road including pipe and inlet work.  Three separate bids are requested.

A pre-bid meeting will be held on Wednesday, April 5, 2017, 3:00pm, at the Township Building.  Attendance is not required.

Bid documents may be examined at the Township office by appointment, Monday through Friday, and at the offices of Light-Heigel & Associates, Inc., 430 East Main Street, Palmyra, PA, between the hours of 8:00am and 4:00pm.

Bidders will be required to provide bid security in the amount of 10% of the proposal.  A bank check or bid bond will be accepted.

Contract to use prevailing wage rates as determined by the Secretary of the Department of Labor and Industry.  These rates must be paid by the contractor.  Employees shall not be discriminated against because of race, color, age, religion, sex, or national origin.

All proposals must be upon the form furnished by the Township.  Bids will be opened and read publicly at 6:45pm, on April 13, 2017.  Wayne Township reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
